The Tauck Family Foundation hosted its sixth annual Investee Cohort Gathering at the University of Bridgeport, a gathering with the Foundation’s second cohort of investees. Event participants included staff and board members from investee organizations, community partners, local area funders, and Tauck Family Foundation Board Members, Advisory Committee Members and staff.

The theme of the gathering was Building a Movement for SEL in Bridgeport. The evening began with a screening of Dr. Nadine Burke Harris’ TED Talk on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), followed by a keynote address by Jo Ann Freiberg, Ph.D. on The Importance of Creating an Adverse-Free Learning Environment. Participants then engaged in an ACEs activity and reflection. The evening then transitioned to investee presentations, where they shared with participants their mission, vision, theory of change, and organizational priorities, as well as updates on their work.

At the end of the evening, the Foundation announced a leadership transition at the Board President level, recognizing Liz Tauck Walters for her 20 years of dedicated service to the Foundation and welcoming Kiki Tauck Mahar as the Foundation’s new President.
