In 2020, the Tauck Family Foundation (TFF) hosted its eighth annual Investee Cohort Gathering, but it’s first virtual one! We convened approximately 60 participants, including staff and Board members from investee organizations, community partners, TFF Board members, Advisory Committee members, and staff. The theme of the gathering was: A Time for Connection and Appreciation. Jennifer Miller, Author, SEL Consultant, and TFF Advisory Committee member, facilitated a fun icebreaker to kick off the afternoon. Participants then had an opportunity to connect with one another to reflect on a challenging year through engaging and interactive whole group activities and small group discussions. TFF staff and Board Members expressed gratitude to investee partners, who are truly champions for Bridgeport children, for their extraordinary efforts during the Covid-19 pandemic to support the students and families they serve throughout 2020.

Laura Stickle from the Harvard Graduate School of Education conducted a closing activity and asked participants to share how they felt as they move forward in their work; the word cloud below captures participant feedback. At the end of the event, the Foundation announced a leadership transition at the Board President level, welcoming Colleen Ritzau Leth as the Foundation’s new President.
