Covid-19 Response Update
Dearest colleagues and friends,
These are unprecedented, challenging, and rapidly changing times for all of us, particularly students, families, and the most vulnerable. We are grateful to the heroic individuals on the frontlines of the Covid-19 crisis, who put themselves and their families at risk every day to help others and save lives. We are also grateful to our investee partners for all they are doing to support and protect the Bridgeport community during this public health emergency, particularly during the extended closure of our schools.
The social, emotional, and mental health impact of this crisis will be significant, making our commitment to our work even more steadfast. Our top priority is to support the needs of our investee partners, both immediately and as we look ahead to the long road of recovery. We are frequently in touch with our partners and working hard to provide relevant information, resources, and other appropriate support as the situation evolves. While we understand that there are many needs in the community, we are unable to provide financial resources to organizations beyond our current partners. However, there are other funding streams available from local community foundations, the United Way, and state-wide philanthropic efforts.
Like many other foundations around the country, until further notice, Tauck Family Foundation staff will be working from home. We can be reached via email or phone, at the contact information listed on our website’s Contact Us page.
As we come together as one community to take care of each other, our families, our neighbors, and sometimes complete strangers, we encourage you to also take care of yourselves and your emotional wellbeing. It’s going to take all of us working together to get through this and we are committed to being here to support the Bridgeport community to the best of our ability.
In solidarity,
The staff and Board of the Tauck Family Foundation
