Kim Hein

Kim Hein brings over two decades of experience in the public and nonprofit sectors, with a strong focus on program development, fundraising, and strategic leadership. She joined the Foundation in 2017 as Program Officer and was appointed Executive Director in 2022. In her current role, she leads the Foundation’s strategic vision, operations, and programmatic initiatives, fostering partnerships that enhance the organization’s mission and impact. Prior to her tenure at the Foundation, Kim held key leadership positions across a range of organizations. She served as Director of the Norwalk Housing Authority College Scholarship Program, where she expanded access to higher education for underserved students by providing financial assistance and comprehensive support services. During her time at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Undergraduate Division, she increased student engagement, developed co-curricular programming, and oversaw major campus-wide events as Associate Director. Kim began her career at the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Massachusetts, where she managed special events and implemented wish programs for children with critical illnesses.
