Kim Hein

Kim Hein joined the Foundation in 2017 as Program Officer and in 2022, she was appointed Executive Director. Prior to her work at the Foundation, she held several roles in the public and nonprofit sectors, primarily in program development, event management, and fundraising. She served as the director of the Norwalk Housing Authority College Scholarship Program which provides financial and advisory support for students and their families throughout the college and career process. She increased student engagement, developed co-curricular programs, and managed large-scale events in her role as an associate director at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Undergraduate Division and she began her career at the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Massachusetts where she held positions in both special events and wish program implementation.
Kim holds a master’s degree in public administration with a certificate in nonprofit administration from the University of Pennsylvania as well as a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and linguistics from Syracuse University. She lives in Fairfield with her husband, two children, and dog Zoe.
